British 75mm Tank Gun

by: greatbrit [ GREATBRIT ]

The product I am reviewing is a turned aluminium barrel, that could be used in a variety of British AFVs of the WW2 period.

The British 75mm tank gun, was a modified 6-PDR bored out to fire US 75mm ammunition. It was used in vehicles such as the Churchill, Cromwell, late production Valentines, and several Armoured Cars.

The barrel itself, produced by Jordi Rubio, is very well finished, with no machining marks at all, it is a one piece item, with the muzzle brake well machined on the end.

One problem I can see, when comparing it to photos of the real thing, the muzzle brake is a little too flat on the end, it should have a more rounded profile.

The breach end of the barrel is shaped in such a way that it would be easy to fit this to any kit, by simple drilling a hole of the correct diameter.

Overall I rated this a 7, due to the issue with the muzzle break shape, but its still and excellent product.
