Having worked on these radios at the Patton Museum (including one transmitter that a mouse had made a condo out of,) this new offering from Minor looks to be dead on! Fantastic! The first photo would be a perfect set up for either the Sherman or the Stuart. (Use only the FT shelf inside the tank, not the big box enclosure.) Most tankers however, would forego the center storage box and instead put in two receivers so they could monitor their squad channel as well as the command channel at the same time. One tiny criticism: The circle with the four screws around it on the far left side of the big transmitter box should actually be a clear glass viewing window. I would recommend carefully drilling this circle out and adding some clear plastic to the inside of the box. (I can't help but mention this - the mouse lead such a happy and long life he died of natural causes, in his bed, inside the transmitter!) TAPS Please!

Wonderful stuff, even if I don't have the right vehicle, it'll be fun to display next to 1/1 examples on my shelf! Will be fun to make all the channel buttons out of stretch sprue

Small stainless steel rod might be a better choice since all the buttons were chrome plated.

These are really nice, but the photos illistrate a problem with PE items such as this., Even the manufactuer has not been able to build the radios with tight corners adn closed seams. I love PE for many things, but large blocky items seldom go together as well as they need to be really look the part. In an idea world such things would be a mix of resin box with PE details. To my eye, all-resin radios tend to look better when build than all-PE radios, but perhaps that's just me. I'm sure someone out there can build these things perfectly, but I have eto say that the larger & more intricate box structures seldom come out as nice as they could be. Paul
