Challenger 2
Main Weapon System in Armoured Regiments of the British Army
First fielded in 1998, the Challenger 2 main battle tank is today the main weapon system in armoured regiments of the British Army, and the only weapon system of its kind in service with the British Armed Forces. Since it entered service, the Challenger 2 has proved itself during the peace support operation in Kosovo with KFOR from 2000 onwards, conventional warfare operations in Iraq under Operation Telic in 2003, and counterinsurgency operations in Iraq under Operation Telic between 2003 and 2009. This publication describes in great detail the development, technical characteristics, service and production batches of the Challenger 2.

EAGLE IV
The Eagle IV Wheeled Armoured Vehicle in Modern German Army Service
The Eagle IVs being procured as part of the Armoured Command and Multipurpose Vehicles (Geschützte Führungs- und Funktionsfahrzeuge, or GFF) Programme Category 2 have already replaced many unprotected vehicles of the Bundeswehr to increase the safety of soldiers during missions abroad. Thanks to its easy transportability, agility and tactical mobility, the Eagle IV is an ideal vehicle for the entire spectrum of possible missions. Three main variants have been introduced:
- Patrol Security Vehicle
- Command Vehicle
- Mobile Physician’s Group Vehicle
This publication describes in great detail the development history, technology, variants, production batches and mission kits of the Eagle IV.

JUPITER
The 7-tonne 6x6 KHD Jupiter Truck in Modern German Army Service
The LKW 7 t gl (6x6) KHD Jupiter is one of the legends of early Bundeswehr military trucks. It primarily served in the role of transporting materials with a payload of 7 tonnes either on roads or off-road. In addition, there were variants such as a Wrecker, Recovery and Repair, Tractor Truck with shortened wheelbase, Prime Movers for trailers and artillery pieces, Tipper, Fuel Tanker, Fire Engine and other specialised roles.
This publication shows the Jupiter’s variants and its technical details from its introduction in 1960 and during its service life that lasted up till the new millennium.

Panzerkampfwagen (Somua) 35 S - 739 (f)
The French Somua S35 Tank in German Service 1940-45
When the most modern German Panzer types were needed on the frontlines, it became the task of captured tanks, the Beutepanzers, to control the German-occupied territories and to supplement German armoured formations. Among the many types used in the war, Beutepanzers of French origin stand out for the reason that they were the only ones used in larger numbers and major formations on all frontlines.
The Somua S35 tank, by many considered the best French tank of the war, would be one of the captured types to gain fame in German service as well. Deployed to occupied France, Norway, Finland, Yugoslavia and other fronts it would become a vital asset for the Wehrmacht in fighting partisans and to carry out policing duties. This is the first monograph on the Panzerkampfwagen 35 S - 739 (f), as the S35 was designated by the German officials and shows the tank’s technology, variants and service in unprecedented detail.

MILITÄRFAHRZEUG 4-2013
The latest release of the quarterly magazine from Tankograd which is released in German only.

Lastly Tankograd Publishing has also set up three new galleries covering Westenhanger 2013, Uffenheim 2013, and Frühauf 2013.
