An exciting announcement from Riich Models for Universal Carrier fans, a second release is on the way.
Riich Models has announced that a Universal Carrier Mk.II is in the works. This should be a great addition to British armour fans with the kit including photo-etched parts and what looks to be markings for four British vehicles.

RV35027 – Universal Carrier Mk.II

According the Riich it looks like we will see this new Universal Carrier early in the New Year.

I have wanted to build a universal carrier for so long, but every time I considered the Tamya alternative, I started counting the cost and work of all the AM neededn to build one up to a decent standard. So glad there is an OOB alternative today. Will definately be picking one of these up some time soon.

Put me down for one, I just picked up their earlier release (looks great) and a Resicast T16.

I hope that Resicast are updating their offerings, since it would be nice to have mortar carrier and "heavy load" suspension conversions for this and their earlier kit.

This may seem an odd question but I've never seen an actual Riich models kit and I'd like to hear from someone who has on the consistency or hardness of the plastic. Dragon, Tamiya and some others, for example, kits are somewhat hard plastic. AFV Club, on the other hand, at least the one kit of the SdKfz 231 I saw, have soft plastic. Can someone give a comparison of the Riich model plastic to other manufacturers in terms of hardness.

Softer than Dragon, but not as soft as Zvezda.

Sorry if I'm annoying here, but I haven't seen any Zvezda either. How about compared to AFV Club?

Jonathan you may want to check out this build of the Riich Mk.I to see what they are like.

It seems from the photos and reviews to be sturdy enough to minimize the danger of bending and breaking easily. Thanks for the feedback.
