A company known for it's styrene releases, producing RESIN? Have we fallen down the rabbit hole? lol

I bought a couple of Airfix's earlier resin building releases (one was a mini-copy of a MiniArt Normandy building!) and have very mixed feelings about them. First, they could just as easily been represented in styrene as Italeri; secondly, the thickness of the walls may be OK on some buildings, but as the roofs are an integral part of the casting and cannot be removed (except by a lot of cutting) are way too thick as can be seen on some of the product shots above; thirdly, judging by the height of the doors with a 1/72 figure beside them, the buildings look more like HO scale (1/87). The tops of the doors are about shoulder level to the figure. The castings are clean and surface details are sharp, but are a bit expensive to use as background buildings because of their smallness, and are too out of scale to use as foreground buildings (unless you are modelling with ROCO vehicles).
