The guys that didn't grow up around these kits and never built them won't understand. Nostalgia does sell. Things were simpler back then and modeling was fun as we were mostly dumb and stupid and didn't know when something was inaccurate. Nostalgia does sell. Jeff

This is where producing labels for your displays is important. Marking the scale will convince yourself it's okay to sit them side-by-side. I have a few 1/40 and 1/48 Revell and Aurora kits that will sit in my display... all together! Jeff

I partially agree with you. A couple of years ago I bought a 1/40 Revell US 105mm field howitzer because I built one almost 40 years ago. Nostalgia turned to nausea! The 2 piece barrel, recuperator, and recoil slide didn't fit due to warpage, gaps, and the fact that one side was slightly shorter than the other. Not to mention mold release pin marks arranged at random on all parts, and a general poor to bad fit. I never bothered to finish it. So I agree - nostalgia works once - but never again!

It's obviously gonna be light years more detailed than the AFV kit...............not!

I had all the Renwal- kits as a kid and they mowed down countless Axis army men. I had got them as toys and they got me started on serious modeling. Would I buy them again, not sure but I remember them fondly. Tom

Probably true .... but I dont pay for nostalgia. I do agree that there is a market for cheaper and simpler kits ... no doubt .... but this should be priced accordingly.

Well, for me it was all the AURORA armor kits I built as a kit. If they all of a sudden became re-released I would get them in a heartbeat just because I was fond of them AND, to see what I could now improve on them than as before. But you are correct Frank. They should be priced accordingly. Jeff
