A post from AFV Club has another variant of the little pesky German Wiesel heading our way.
AFV Club has announced they have another variant of the German Wiesel coming our way with the 1A1/A3 Mk.20. The kit will include the following:

- Newly tooled road wheels and detailed chassis
- Newly tooled rubber Diehl Type 622 track
- Photo-etched drive insulation net, sprocket and mud guards
- Basic detailed fighting compartment
- Detailed up-to-date 20mm auto-cannon
- Newly tooled Autonomous Optronic Target system(AOZ 2000)
- Newly tooled exterior digital antenna, GPS antenna, and digital operating terminal monitor

To be precise, here in germany we call it a Luftlandewaffenträger which means Airborne Weapons Carrier.

Am i wrong if this version looks close to the Wiesel used in Afghanistan? Same tracks no?

Olivier, I was thinking the same thing (the PE on the original Wiesels and Scimitars/Scorpions was a PITA), but if you look at this review, it seems the PE is now brass, not steel as before. http://www.armorama.co.uk/review/10822 Cheers, Christophe

And did they move the fold lines to the OTHER side of the part? It has been a LONG while since I built both mine, but I seem to remember that the folding lines on the muffler covers were on the outside and being steel, when I went to refold them back the correct way it snapped. The Afghan versions w the new tracks are interesting, I might have to take another swing at one of these. M
