Some newM48 Patton drive sprockets to replace the undersized Academy kit items, have been released by slingshot models.
These new releases from slingshot models are designed to replace the drive sprockets on the Academy kit With basic modeling skills one can adapt them to other kits as well .Besides the correct shape and appearance, they give you the opportunity to use the available aftermarket T92E and T142 tracks on your model. They can also be used on Academy or Tamiya M60 kits.

Armorama would like to thank Slingshot models for the update.

No they don't fit on the Dragon's kits,or they need a lot of work to do so. A replacement set specially for the Dragon M48 will be available shortly.

Hi Gino, you are right, they will not work on a Korean M48A5K. Thank God,the rest of the nations does not use side skirts on their M48's or M60's!

DEF Model is really nice, but they aren't easy to find. Plus if you don't need the unarmored rear panel, you are paying for more than you need.

Agreed, I'm normally a big fan of DEF's but in this case Slingshot Models is much more flexible, I don't need rear grilles or tracks, half sprockets are kind of useless unless you want to upgrade a Dragon M48A3. Cheers, Christophe
