Pheonix Models have released a diorama base with an unusual intention. This diorama base is designed with the idea that it can be used with all of the major scales.
This diorama base from Pheonix Models is titled as a Bomb Crater, but it could just as easily be considered a moon crater. Pheonix Models have released pictures depicting this diorama base used with models in the major scales.

more like moon surface. Bomb crater would be deeper if it were that diameter.

It's a cool idea, but WTF would make a crater like that except a 1 million year-old meteor?

mine craters are shallow but wide, so it might be a mine crater

Sort of like the Odessa crater. 550 feet in diameter and only 15 feet deep. If there hadn't been a museum dedicated to it, a bunch of signs, and a parking lot, I probably never would have noticed it.

If it were deeper this would be a great start to a Normandy diorama.
