In one of the Zaloga books, he mentions that they were actually deployed, but then pulled back before being committed to battle and replaced with T-34/85s as the command structure did not want them known to the west. One thing I did notice in the video was that I did not see a transmission, not too worried about it as I still want it badly.

Hi; "OOOHHH BOY"--There is just the Basic Prototype, and they were only made for A Limited Production Run, and they came too Late for Combat at the End of WW-II. Very few were made as the T-34/85 was still the most important vehicle as well as the JS Types, and the T-54 was just coming off the drawing boards. CHEERS; MIKE.

Hello, Everyone! Let's give Darren a big hand for once again being on top of a situation that created a lot of controversy on ARMORAMA. I can only reiterate my point of view regarding Darren's ability to give us REAL NEWS! THANKS, DARREN! This IS GOOD NEWS, as A LOT of modellers have repeatedly wished for a T-44 in various ARMORAMA "Wish List" forums. I'm sure that MINART's up-coming SU-122 will also make a big splash, once it hits the shelves. Now, as to the video that MINIART has released in actually showing this new kit, all of the negativity that was posted yesterday regarding the "Teaser" video is no longer relevant. This new video was released in record time, and I applaud MINIART for not dragging this announcement out with more "Teasers". The next item on the list of discussions here on this site has already started; there is, and will be even more belly-aching about how long it will take MINIART to actually get this kit out to the hobby distributors and shops... Be happy that MINIART took the first step in FINALLY giving us a T-44 IN PLASTIC, as rare as the real T-44 actually was. Be happy that MINIART will be giving us a T-44 with an Interior, operable Suspension, "Workable" Indy-Link Tracks, a comprehensive set of PE, a complete set of CLEAR PARTS, and MINIART's usual ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Despite the limited service-life of the T-44, this vehicle bridges an important gap between the T-34-series Tanks and the T-54/T-55-series, especially in 1/35 scale!

Rather than thanking me I would ask that all of the staff across the network are considered, without them giving up their free time the sites that make up this network would be like deserts.

Great news! I am looking forward to its release.

I have to apologize about whining about the turn around time. It takes time to come out with quality products. Darren and his staff do an excellent job of keeping us informed. Besides Miniart deserves kudos for coming out with original subjects.

KUDOS to the ARMORAMA STAFF, as well!

ARMORAMA needs to open it's own bank in order to issue loans to get all this good stuff...lol! I'm dumping almost half of my kits on the shelf, but damn, that void could be filled once again inside of 2 years!

I'm not much on post-war Soviet armor but this is a model that I want!
