Hunikum Miniatures announced a new figure which will be released soon. The figure will depict a British Soldier on Western Desert 1940.

Now that's more like it. Looks more natural than most other figure's of British soldier's with their socks pulled up to their knees looking like their on the parade ground instead of the front line's and he has the look of being a little under fed.

THANKS, Engin! Maybe he does look a bit under-fed, (which would be pretty accurate anyway, considering the general lack of good nutrition and the awful climate in the Western Desert) but at least the sculptor didn't do the usual "perfect movie star"-looking style of human features so prevalent in miniature figurines. Especially the overly-idealized WWII German SS "Supermen" that many figure sculptors seem to have a penchant for!!! Please, enough of that, already!!!... I wish we could see more fat, skinny, short, tall and yes, ugly figures. "Perfect" people are actually a minority in this world- It would be nice to see some "real-looking" people for a change... I LIKE this guy! He'd look very nice standing in front of a knocked out Pz.II, Pz.III, or IV...
