ACE Models is releasing a new kit, the British MBT Centurion Mk.3 (Korean war).
Centurion Mk.3 was the primary British main battle tank of the post-World War II period. It is widely considered to be one of the most successful post-war tank designs, remaining in production into the 1960s, and seeing combat in the front lines into the 1980s.

Development of the tank began in 1943 and it entered production in January 1945. It first saw combat with the British Army in the Korean War in 1950, in support of the UN forces.

This kit has a good number of parts, considering it is a 1/72 model, and even includes some photo etch details. It has also an additional turret roof for a later production Mk. III

Ah OK - Looks like a correction to a molding problem on the main suspension sprue. Looks like a nice model, though the tracks look to be soft. Wish they'd use hard plastic. It's been a long time since the Airfix!

Those are belt type tracks, so I don't understand how harder plastic would be an improvement.

This is defenetly a must have. After reading Andrew Salmon's To the last round, I wanted to make some sort of diorama with the Centurions of the 8th Irish hussars covering the Infantry as they where forced to pull back during the battle at the Imjin river. When done in 35 scale it would be (way to) huge, so I for one am very happy with this release (which is long overdue in 1/72 scale)

I,m sorry for my lack luster thoughts until Rene mentioned 1/72nd scale. Humm, My opinion of the kit just went up a bunch. Not so impressed at !/35th but looks like a good kit at 1/72nd.
