Mirage Hobby has launched a new product that can be used to improve any model with welded plates: ready to use copper weld lines.
It is available at different scales.
These thin copper strips have the typical texture of weld seams, and can be cut to size as needed for adding welds to models.
There are different sizes, depending on the scale of the kit:
  • Reference 224001 for 1/16-1/24 Weld Lines
  • Reference 248002 for 1/48 Weld Lines
  • Reference 272001 for 1/72 Weld Lines
  • Reference 235002 for 1/35 Weld Lines

The bigger scales, 1/16 and 1/35, come with 150cm of strip, while the smaller ones are 100cm long.

This is just a simple product to help simplify the application of weld lines for the modeller, if you prefer you own method then just don't buy it.

I received my order today and they are very nice looking. I ordered several of each one. The 1/16 would be usefull for doing the top welds on a 1/35 Tiger. They are very well done and I cant wait to try these out. I can recommend these highly for detailing and for their convenience and consistincy in weld size.
