AC Model released a new large scale figure depicting a special forces regiment of the Rhodesian Army in 1970s.
ACM16011 - Selous Scout

The figure is sculpted in 1/16 scale by Andy Cairns. It is cast in grey resin and comes with optional heads.

Named after the British explorer Frederick Courteney Selous, the Selous Scouts was a special forces regiment of the Rhodesian Army, that operated from 1973 until the reconstitution of the country as Zimbabwe in 1980. The unit deployed counter-insurgency tectics operating deep in insurgent-controlled territory and waging war on the hostiles' rear through irregular warfare.

Very well executed, I may have to get one of these. Not knowing that much about these SF guys, can anyone comment as to uniform and camouflage use, please? I am interested in representing NZ SAS or regular force with the SLR.

Didn't the Selous Scouts often use enemy weapons? Might have been cool to have him carrying an AK, or at least have one slung over his back.
