Riich Models has sent Armorama news of their latest Universal carriers. This offering, judging by the artwork, will be appearing through the dust of the desert.
This version of the Universal Carrier is the Mk II offering in a machine gun configuration. Anyone who has tackled one of these offerings will I am sure, confirm that these models are not aimed at the beginner, the small size, quantity of photo etch and high small plastic parts count will test many modellers, but can result in a stunning model depending on the modellers skill set. An example of the detail here is that the tools are supplied clean and photo etched parts are supplied to make up the clamps. The one thing I would have liked to see included or made available separately is a set of figures specifically for the model. Three finishing options are provided, 2 British vehicles and a Canadian one.

If it's a Toronto Scottish carrier then it's not June as 2nd Cdn Inf doesn't come ashore until July. The Can Scots would be the unit as they landed on June 6 as part of 7 bde, 3rd Cdn Inf div.

For the Toronto Scottish it states Belguim 1944, the other options are Middlesex Reg and 2nd Kensington Reg.

including the 3 military figure?

There are four figures in the image, but I see no sign of the figures being included in the model. That is why I said what I said about the crew. Taking a closer look a beach would appear more accurate, but that is sand I tell you

I'm looking forward to seeing this one, the dio potential abounds! No longer will I be shackled to the old Tamiya kit (Which does build nicely) or other weird offerings that appeared on the market over the years.

Really nice, the dio possibillities are huge. Would have been nicer if the crew figures were included in the kit.

Looks like lots of good potential here.

Same vehicle... different location, but at least it aligns with the marking description form the kit. A little artistic license on the box art!
