Announced earlier this year, AFV Club shares sprue shots and CAD renderings of its M113A1 ACAV kit.
First fielded in Vietnam in April of 1962 the M113 was the most widely used armored vehicle of the U.S. Army during the conflict. It was employed to break through heavy jungle to attack enemy positions. Though mainly referred to by the allies as an APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) or ACAV (Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle), the M113 was often referenced by its nickname ‘Green Dragon’.

A large number of M113 variants have been produced, and used by other countries -- from infantry carriers to nuclear missile carriers. It may be said that the M113 is one of the most prolific armored vehicles, as it continues to serve a variety of roles with armies around the world.

AFV Club has yet to announced the kit's availability date.

Any ideas to when this will be released and any reasons for delays? I have one pre-ordered but it has been almost 3 months. I keep seeing the release date being pushed a month after another (5/30, 6/30, then now 7/30) on hobbyeasy.com.

About time, and throw the M-163 vulcan on it. Wait I forgot that AFV Club said, they were going to come out with the M-42 duster, only took what 8 to 9 years or more? Jeff
