IBG Models shares sprue shots and CAD renditions of its upcoming Swedish light tank kit, the Stridsvagn m/39.

Sweden’s Stridsvagn m/39 (Strv m/39) roots may be traced back to the Landsverk L-60, a light tank that was developed in 1934. Probably the most innovative tank of the period, the L-60 included advanced design features such as torsion bar suspension, periscopes, and all-welded construction. Its evolution eventually led to the Strv m/39 which featured a revised gun mantlet and turret to accommodate a Bofors 37 mm (1.46 in) gun. For anti-personnel protection it had 2 x Madsen 8 mm (0.31 in) ksp m/36 machine-guns. Twenty Strv m/39 were ordered and subsequently delivered by 1940.

IBG Models' kit #72034 has been announced during the Nuremberg Toy Fair, and is expected to be released soon. The kit is molded in gray plastic. It includes a photo-etched fret for the engine screens, and features link and length tracks.
