Vallejo has now a full range of textures for dioramas and vehicles, which allow to recreate easily different nature effects.
From mud and sand to water, all can be recreated with these new products. They are ready to use, although they can be mixed with paints or pigments for a personalized effect.
Water Textures
The series of Water Textures has been formulated to reproduce the realistic effects of water, from a white running mountain brook to the greenish, still surface of a stagnant pool, from a muddy puddle on a road to the profound depth of the ocean.

Thick Mud
Textures ideal for reproducing muddy terrain on vignettes or dioramas, as well as for texture on the wheels of a car or truck, the lower part of vehicles, and the accumulations of mud on tank tracks.
They have a heavy, thick consistency and a slightly glossy finish. Four of the six references of thick Mud include rests of vegetation, which give a special sense of realism to the final result.

Ground Textures
Acrylic compounds which reproduce the texture of different grounds, from grey wasteland to the rough and irregular textures of craggy gullies and escarpments of a mountain range.

Earth Textures
Acrylic compounds which reproduce the different earth textures, such as the sand of the desert, the dark brown earth of temperate zones, and asphalt- the black lava of volcanic terrain.

These look interesting, but I never see anyone stock them.

I have two of these in my arsenal. I've used the Desert Sand Effect (21.217) to cover dio terrain and also rubbed it into cobblestone recesses with very pleasing results. They're a bit pricy, but the color and grain turned out to be exactly what I was looking for at the time. —mike
