DRA6361 - M4 81mm Mortar Carrier

This is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited variants on the M2/M3 Halftrack chassis. Once again, within DML's 'Smart Kit' series.

I just spotted this on the MDFC armor forum off the Dragon site. Very cool indeed. Yet another anticipated kit to put on pre-order this morning Thanks for posting the images, Jim ! Cheers !! Robert

Nice! Another US half track. Odd question...wonder why it's labled "Not available in Japan" ?

I was wondering that as well... It could be that it's going to get sold under the TASCA label as DML and TASCA have a type of agreement...

Thanks for the update Jim, What looks to be another excellent kit from Dragon! Sure we'll see some of these built up to an excellent standard in the coming months! Cheers, James

Nice. I'm finishing up an M2 and thinking about doing an M2A1. I'll have to add this one to the "must have" list. I wish the M2/M2A1 kit came with a driver figure -- the Tamiya halftrack driver doesn't fit right. Wonder why they insist on the the flat tires? With all the extra plastic you get in these kits, it seems like they might give the modeler a choice of round or flattened tires.

Ahhh..Battle of the Tire Bulge Tound Two? I've just asked Grumpy to pick me up a set of (perfectly round) tires at AMPS this weekend as much as I love the (original M2), flattened tires aren't in my agenda...

The aircraft builders get a choice. Come on, Dragon, give us the same! BTW Jim -- I noticed that some of those aftermarket tires are based on the old Tamiya halftrack tires, so I spruced up a pair by drilling our the holes and adding some valve stems and they look pretty good. Also, I swapped a pair of the Dragon flattened tires for the tires out of the Italeri 105mm howitzer kit. They look like a pretty good set for the Dragon kit as well.

Ahhh..Battle of the Tire Bulge Tound Two? [/quote] No comment! BTW, at least they did manage to inform you about the option of not using the idler spring. Plus, it looks like a good basis for the aftermarket guys to come out with a M4A1 conversion. Chris "toadman" Hughes Toadman's Tank Pictures
