The latest release from Ace Model depicts an early production model of the M2A1 field gun.
The 105mm M2A1 was the standard U.S. light field howitzer deployed during the Second World War, seeing action in both European and Pacific theaters. Post-war it continued to be in service in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, as well as being adopted as standard artillery piece by other countries. Manufactured by Rock Island Arsenal, it is estimated that more than 10,000 were produced between 1941 up till 1953.

US 105mm Howitzer M2A1 (Early Production Series) (72530) is offered as an injection-molded kit 1/72 scale.

Looks like very nice casting, and a lot of detail without becoming unbuildable.

Would have been nicer with PE shield and other small parts; and a turned brass or aluminum barrel!
