MiniArt is setting the bar in interesting new kits and not reissuing 10,000 versions of the same thing.

I agree; MiniArt has some cool stuff out lately; it's different, interesting, and diverse. There's so much from different eras modelers want to see kitted they could really tap into a good market. Hope this trend continues; might drive other manufacturers to up their game.

What exactly is so new and exciting here? They just combined two of their previous kits: the gun (35104, released in 2016) and the car (35147, released in 2012). I'm a big fan of MiniArt but let's be honest this is just a repack of their sprues.

Gotta’ say, I’m with Dan on this one. Nice “New” box art for a very nice combined offering, but not a “new kit.” At any rate, with a combined count of 733 parts this kit is bound to keep someone’s Optivisor strapped to their head for a while! 🤪 —mike PS: I’m a big fan of open top vehicle kits that come with the side windows and canvas top (tilt) up or down option.

Looking forward to the build review on this one as soft skin vehicles are always in demand for those tired of building the same ol' AFVs. As to it being a repackage: if it has a price-point advantage over the two kits sold separately I'm interested. Can always find a use for stuff in dios somewhere or scratch building.

Are Optivisors comfortable and do they work well? I need something like that and they seem pricey.
JUL 10, 2018 - 08:10 AM
Put aside buying the next model kit and invest in your sanity — approx. $30 on Amazon. Optivisors are lightweight, comfortable, and there’s a model available with three interchangeable lenses, but if you can predetermine which magnification is right for you, there’s no need to purchase that entire set. HTH. —mike
