Andrea Miniatures continues to produce extremely realistic figures. Their latest figure is a start of a new line - Purple Heart.
Although not commented on company's website or FB, I feel this could be the beginning of 3D rendered figures offered in several different scales depicting Allied soldiers... very similar to their "Eisernes Kreuz" line offering German WW2 figures.

PH16-F001 - US Marine, 1945

PH35-F001 - US Marine, 1945

Very interesting. I'd like to see it in 1/35th scale painted and unpainted.

I'm with Bill on that one; though they look so good that's almost a formality. Wow.

The finished figure is stunning but I have to wonder about carrying both a Thompson and a BAR. At 30+ lbs that’s a lot of ordnance to be lugging around for a long period of time. Is this sculpt based on a period photograph?

The body and legs are resin and the rest is metal. There is two heads included. One for the helmet and the other for a soft cover. There is a metal rock texture base included. What colors would be recommend in the Tamiya or Vallejo range for the uniform and boots?
