Dnepromodel starts big this year with a model of a large Italian naval gun employed as railroad-based artillery.
The Cannone Navale da 381/40 was originally intended to arm the Italian Navy’s Marina Francesco Caracciolo-class battleships. It is believed about 24 guns were produced. However as the ships were not completed, the guns were instead diverted to other uses. Seven of these were transferred to the Army and deployed as railway guns. Measuring 24.5m long, the gun and its mount weighed 212 tons. It fired high explosive shells weighing 730kg and 876kg, as well as 885kg armor-piercing shells.

Dnepromodel’s Italian 381/40 Railway Gun (35111) is offered as a full resin kit.

It's great to see something this unusual that's likely NOT going to end up in styrene. Thanks, Dnepromodel!

Looks impressive! How much will this resin divorce kit cost me? (Other than the house...)

Two or three ice-cream cones short of 500 Euros .... plus postage ..... plus lawyer fees if your wife decides to divorce you .... If she divorces you, you will probably have more time and space for model building ..... On the other hand it only costs a little less than 5 of the large Trumpeter kits of Big Russian Things: 9K720 Iskander-M + 4K51 Rubezh + KZKT-7428 + 30N6E Flaplid + either a 5P85S/SU or a THAAD. Your choice

According to Wikipedia, the gun plus its mount was 24.5 metres (80 ft) long. So the 1/35th scale model should be around 70 cm long... H.P.
