A truly awful bayonet.

Do you think a better paint job would make these figures look any better?

Doubt it, I was being kind by picking on the bayonet. The paint job is acceptable/good; the faces less so.

You are being way too charitable!

Possibly, though I will be the first to admit that they're a far sight better than anything I could sculpt myself so I try not to be too scathing. I will point out, however, that they would need some real revision before I'd spend on them.

These aren't even close to acceptable figures compared to what's being produced today. I wouldn't want these even if they were given to me. Sorry to be so critical but just compare these with anything Alpine, Bravo, Stalingrad and such have produced. Proportions are out, face and hands are undefined and soft. These look like they could have been sculpted 40 years ago, old Tamiya has better details.

Oh good, now I feel justified thinking that these were not up to standards but didn't have the heart to say it. How liberating that others agree with me. Squash 'em like SNL's Mr Bill and try again!

I also follow some of the pulps gaming forums and they would be good if shown there: LINK
