New glues from AK Interactive, with plastic cements, CA and PVA.
A tool for every job:
Quick Cement Extra Thin, the fastest and strongest glue on the market. Unlike other plastic adhesives it dries quickly and allows gluing by capillary action, being very effective in joining parts with little contact surface.

Extra Thin Cement, glues by capillary action with a medium / fast drying time. It is the best option for general assembly work.

Plastic Cement Standard Density, the classic modeling glue with medium drying time and more viscosity. It has a standard application brush for work on larger surfaces and general assembly. Great performance, is indicated for the assembly of plastic models and acts in a few seconds.

Extra Thin Citrus Cement, glues by capillary action with a medium / fast drying time, and has a mild citrus aroma. Same characteristics as Extra Thin Cement but with an aromatic touch.

Wolverine PVA is a white glue of high quality and high resistance with drying accelerator.
With all the properties of white glue and faster drying.
Especially suitable for work on transparent parts and for resistant and invisible joints. to glue wood, paper, cardboard, cork, wicker, polystyrene, foam, etc.
High viscosity extends very smoothly. It can be diluted with water to achieve the desired viscosity.
Total cure in 6 hours (According to room temperature and applied thickness).

Magnet Ultra Resistant Cyanoacrylate glue, general-purpose cyanoacrylate 401. Fast drying, extra strong, low viscosity, specially formulated for adhesion between materials that can even have an acidic surface. Can be used with rubber, leather, wood, metal, resin and plastic.

Black Widow Ultra Resistant Cyanoacrylate glue, special cyanoacrylate 380 formulated with rubber particles to add flexibility to the joints. Extra strong, low viscosity, with a special formulation for metals, rubber and plastics.

I've officially banned myself from using extra thin cyanoacrylate. The most disasterous messes I've made have come from my misuse of extra thin CA. I love Tamiya's extra thin cement, though, and I assume that's what AK is shooting for here. Good for them. If extra thin CA is required, however, I am required to have an adult present.

Wow, yeah, it's almost as if they FINALLY invented glue! After all those years of us using just spit, water, and good faith for modelling... But I mean, the market will show how many of us will buy it because its all new and shiny...[/quote] Sorry, but am I missing something here? AK are in business to make money and offer products to modellers. They already sell paint and finishing products, why not a glue line? And yes, marketing is everything and they have to sell themselves. Tamiya, Humbrol, Revell, Testors, Vallejo, etc. all have paints and glues in their product line, so why not AK? AK doesn't make any money off of us buying Tamiya or Testors glue. And we all should realize that around the world, not everyone has access to the same product lines. While some may have easy access to Tamiya or Humbrol or Revell (depending on distributors), others may have easier access to Vallejo or AK. Prices also vary from country to country depending where products are imported from and it might be cheaper to buy AK products then say Tamiya products in some places. Just my 2 sense, but I don't think we should automatically just jump on a manufacturer for expanding their product because we think it's a dumb idea. It's not your money, and if you don't want to buy their product(s), then that is your choice.

I guess so, yes I mean the point is this: Let them have and sell a whole glue line, there's absolutely no harm in that. In fact there is a zillion (give or take) glue lines from at least another zillion brands out there. From plastic glues in all shapes and viscosities, white glues, CAs, industrial standard super glues, rubber glues, hot glues, fluid glues, glue sticks, fillers, you name it! And in all honesty: Who of us was actually missing a proper glue for modelling? I mean like REALLY, ACTUALLY missing a well working product to glue our (plastic, resin, PE, whatever) models? Anyway, as I said: Everybody is entitled to sell their product, glue or whatever. That's not the point. The point is their marketing babble (as specifically highlighted by a previous poster whom I quoted in my above post). I mean seriously, their subtitle reads "Ultra high quality cement". How many superlatives can one put in the description to sell a bottle of plastic glue? And in their description it goes on (as an example): "[...] the fastest and strongest glue on the market. Unlike other plastic adhesives it dries quickly and allows gluing by capillary action, being very effective in joining parts with little contact surface." They are actually saying that their product not only does the job right. No, it is beyond a doubt better than any other product on the market! Seriously? Lets stop beating around the bush: That's just outright redicilous marketing babble! And not even a very smart one, but rather "in-your-face-awkward". Anyway, the whole description makes it sound to me, as if they are seriously trying to tell us that they actually finally invented what we have always been looking for (and in vain so far): FINALLY some glue! So yeah: Chill! And then you just buy what you like and what works for you, because you are absolutely entitled to

Ethylacetate 5 litres, appoximately 1.3 US gallons Capillary action: check Fast: You bet SWMBO-factor: She can't complain, the stuff is part of the acetone free polish removers Large surfaces: Yep, capillary action will suck the solvent into every joint. Improved fit of parts: Certainly. The capillary action thingy requires a good fit between parts so I have to make the parts fit before I try to "glue" them together. Ease of application: Yep. Use a small brush to apply solvent to edge of joint, capillary action will do the rest. Possible to glue/weld hard to reach joints: Sure, just extend the handle of the brush. The metal sleeve on most brushes can be bent to make a tool able to reach behind corners. The sleeve can be glued to the end of sprue runners to get angled handles. Cheap: Close to $100 for 1.3 gallons. Split it into small bottles and do the maths yourself

Nice to have choices even if I'm reluctant to try them out or can't easily obtain them.
