Preiser have recently released another of their useful Civilian Figure Sets in 1/35th - once again, injection-moulded styrene..
Preiser 64014 - Civilians, Postwar era is the latest figure set from the company which produces a huge range of figures in a variety of scales.

This recent set consists of NINE civilians in a variety of clothing. What does set this apart (a little) from other of the sets in this series is the fact that they aren't moulded as single figures - there is a degree of assembly required which should give them more possibilities for conversion.

Another item which is included are a variety of bags, bundles and luggage.

Basically, a set which, with care in assembly and painting, will have a LOT of possibilites in Dioramas...

Preiser products are hard to find in the US. While their railroad stuff may be avalaible from RR model shops and online venues, these certainly don't carry anything in 1/35, while the model shops and the online places we buy from (Squadron, Sprue Brothers, Roll Models etc.) typically don't have anything from Preiser. I was able to buy a few sets through EBay, but I can tell that the price wasn't exactly fair (still cheaper than buying a dozen resin civilians from the aftermarket guys...)

Apparently Stevens International handles them wholesale in the US. If your local hobby shop deals with them, they may be able to order these figure sets for you.

some of these figures would be great for an escape from colditz diorama!!!! some of the men look just like soldiers trying to blend in! prehaps the guy who built the castle in france and is now building the village could do castle colditz complete with glider being built in the roof?? that gives me a few ideas, now to track a kit down.......... neil

That's a neat set. I could have used it a couple years ago for a dio I did. I really like the seated figures. BTW, Preiser figures are also available from CRM Hobbies in St. Louis. The website isn't much to look at, but if you call or e-mail, I'll bet Chris or one of his folks can help you. http://crmhobbies.com/
