Rafhart presents the new versions of his bending tool for photoetch parts.
These tools have been designed by a modeller using his experience with other models to improve the functionality and ergonomics.

The largest one is the V3, it is non-symmetrical, has 10 teeth, and a lot of space to work.
Its main features are:
- Base dimensions: 193mm x 100 mm
- Tighten the screws on the springs
- Bending the teeth 10, including one at 45 degrees horizontally
- Possibility of reverse mounting of the upper red part
- 173 mm straight bending lines
- Made of aluminium

V5 has been created for bending small and medium details from photo-etched sheets. Despite its small size, it allows bending on a straight line of 50mm, has 10 teeth. It is designed with modellers of 1/144, 1/72 and 1/48 scale in mind, but it will be appreciated by everyone with limited space on their workbench

- Tighten the screws on the springs

- Possibility of reverse mounting of the upper red part in 4 positions
- 50 mm straight bending lines
- Made of aluminium

Lots of possible bends and folds in this one. Nonetheless it remains my least-favorite part of model building. Metal origami as far as me and my squinty eyes are concerned.

Being made of aluminum and having such long teeth it looks to me as if the teeth maybe prone to bending themselves and after a short while not be able to clamp the PE securely. That has been my experience with another brand.

if you only bend PE parts, then nothing happens, because that's what it's built for, and only for that. The teeth have to be long because there are different parts of the PE.
