News of the latest Far-Eastern manufacturer, Vision Models, who are hitting the ground running with two VERY long-demanded subjects:
The first two models have been announced with:

VM35001 - WWII US M1A1 75mm Pack Howitzer

VM35002 - WWII Russian BA-64 Armoured Car

Both of these have featured Heavily in 'wish-lists' in the past!

I can't say much more about Vision Models at the moment, but any manufacturer reading this who want to know more can e-mail me and I will pass on your details to the distributor!

Doing the BA-64 is a pretty brave step so, fingers crossed that Vision decide to do the other Soviet Armored Cars...

Artillery isn't my own personal modelling poison, but I do like the look of that Soviet AC. Very unusual subject matter indeed. New kids on the block and one to watch. - Steve

Great news. It is always good with more kits and suppliers in the market. Interesting that there is still a market for so many suppliers despite competition from computer games etc. It is truly great days for modellers. Thanks for the info, Jim

According to Terry Ashley's blog he is also working on a review of it. Should be interesting to see if or how the various opinions differ.

If you've not had an answer to this one... Yes, this kit ought to give you all you need to create a 1st Airlanding Light Regt RA diorama... You will need to remove the post-war clamps on the front half of the trail, add the British mods to the rear half of the trail, change the tow eye to the British mod and then add the balance gear clamp which allows the piece to be towed in the firing config. Also you will need to make the clamps to hold the axle sleeve in place (stops the axle sleeve rotating and the axle coming off - the US pattern locking pin used to break) The Dragon 1/6 model is based on the British AB version. I have one with the British AB mods in 1:1 scale. Hope this helps Tim

There is also the Resicast Update/Conversion Set that includes the British parts to convert it into an Airborne Howitzer.

I am very pleased to hear these great news about the new model company. It means that the model industry is still flourishing in spite of the video games that overtook a great part of the entertainment nowadays...
