Announced a while ago, these are the first images of ICM's Matilda II Mark. IV in 1/35th scale:
Scheduled for release in Summer 2009, hopefully this will only be the first image report on what should be an interesting model.

Looks cool! I've always loved the look of the Maltilda, and now there are two new ones on the way! I'm curious...how much of an impact did this tank (and other lend-lease AFVs) have on the Eastern Front battles? If you were to believe the history books, the answer could well be "absolutely none". However, those same books would suggest that all the trucks enabled the Russians to be a truly mobile mechanized fighting force and able to exploit any break-throughs in the German lines....especially around Moscow and Stalingrad and beyond....

As far as I know; the Russians did not like the Allied tanks sent in the early years, especially the Grant, (a grave for seven brothers) but the wheeled veh's were a hit. Ed

The big difference Iv noticed initailly between the sprueshots of Tamiyas kit and this one, is that ICMs kit has the proper "spud" tracks for ETO tanks as opposed to the rubber pad tracks seen on desert vehicles....very impressive !! Mabe there IS room for both kits on my shelf ..lol

From an Aussie point of view, the Tamiya one is "interesting" and the ICM offerins is "perfect" - spudded tracks, low cupole, etc, etc ... I was very impressed with the quality of ICM's Studebaker - if the Matilda kit is as good I'll be buying a few!
