Vajra Miniature are to release a full resin kit of the D9 fully tracked Dozer.
Although 18Bravo(Robert Skipper) sent me this news last week and it has been mentioned in the forum I have been waiting for Vajra to send us photos of the new kit.

FF35005 1/35 D9 Large Full Tracked Dozer is still undergoing finishing touches.

The retail price will be announced soon and the kit will on sale within the next few days.

it's a beautiful looking piece of resin! I just wish they would take a little time to put their tracks together for the publicity shots... having seen others struggle with dozer tracks, it doesn't bode well when not even the producer can put them together properly

The concord book 7518 "Iraq Insurgency" has some good photos of the D9 in use by the US Army and the Tankograd book "IDF Armoured Vehicles" has a whole chapter on the D9 in Israeli use including some decent walk around photos. cheers Keith

Vajra's kits look great but the prices are too beaucoup... Would love to see the dozer done in styrene, but given the licensing issues, it ain't likely ta happen. Great looking kit --- what a beast!!! Looking forward to seeing someone build this one up. Regards and Aloha, Johnny B.

I would like to see a dozer like this one but not up armored. Want to do a Viet Nam dio featuring a seabee dozer. Anyone know where I can get scale decals for seabee equipment??????

What about Tank Workshop dozer (TWS 0099 ) ? It should be OK for a Nam D7 with a few mods... Frenchy

Personally, I know these kits are expensive, but anyone considering this purchase should also be aware that the "C" is very protective of its copy rights. If Vajra did not obtain licensing this kit will not be available for long, at least not in this exact configuration. I know military vehicles are often exempt (i.e. a "B-17" can be kitted, but you can't say a "Boeing B-17" without permission), the "C" tends to get lawyers involved first then work it out later. Their diecast licenses don't help things either. So my advice is don't wait or you'll wind up buying a 9D instead.

Mine has arrived at home, and once again, I am not there to see it. I'll be able to comment on it in about a week or so, and compare it with the walkaround I did of the thing. Unfortunately I have to head out again and it'll be at least a month before I can add it to the "started resin kits" pile. I'm definitely looking forward to it though.
