Claude I think the book is VERY special. The tips and techniques will raise the level of peoples dios. I don't think you shared too much info creating a"why buy the cow when I can get the milk for free" situation. Personally speaking most of my modeling books have been spur of the moment purchases made in my local hobby shop. I think the book needs to be out on the shelves for impulse buying. Claude, I got your book a few days ago and enjoyed it a lot. Lots of useful tips in there and the pictures of your castle are just magnificient. I'm hoping sales will be good enough for a sequel? As for low sales: I agree that books are often a spur of the moment buy, my order to you was one of those. Also you might want to consider the economy (of course that had to come... ) which prompts people to spend their limited money on kits rather than books. Just some thoughts... Keep up the great work! Hi Claude, I agree with the others. The dio itself is very special. It´s not a "standard"-dio as a base for a tank or some figures... it´s a complete scene. Perhaps that is too much for the "standard"-dio-modelers. I bought the book from interest of the dio, story and the history of the castle. Also it was the first modeling-book bought by me. I´m not a scratch-builder and I´m not a dio-builder.... but I try to do both on my two projects, (the german artillery-gun and the 3 venus-landers) using your dio (and another one from another modeler from here) as an inspiration. I also don´t think, that you gave too much tips and info on creating things. There are a lot of web-sites, which shares tips. But I prefer books for an easier / faster look for an "how to make..." or something like this. Also it´s a personal thing for me, to buy this book (and 3 venus lander-kits)! greetings, merry christmas and a happe new year, Claude!

I hope sales pick up. This is a great book for all modellers and I can't recommend it enough. Though the net is great, I still like to have a book that I can pick up and flick through. If the low sales are due to worries about the translation, then they are unfounded. Both the text and the photos are first rate. I'm still hoping that there will be a part 2! Merry Christmas to all!

Hi Claude I can´t speak for anybody else, but I bought the book (in April from Ministuff/Sweden) because of what I saw on Armorama, and wanted to have a permanent copy. I hope there will be a vol.II as well with the rest of the dio included ... which I will also buy because what Ive seen already. For anybody sitting on the fence ... I would recommend buying this book as "one stop shop" for buildings and ground work. Some great stuff there ... inspiring as well as helpful. I think its also good to support a fellow member who has offered so much free here and gone the length to provide an excellent product. More support maybe will help with a vol.2???

I've already told Claude I'm eager for vol 2. What he has achieved must be a first in terms of scope and scale.
