By JIM RAE
E.T. Model have just announced a New, 1/35th scale Update set for the Flak 43.

The new set is:

E35-026 - FLAK 43 WWII German 3.7cm FLAK 43 Anti-Aircraft Gun The Update set is designed SPECIFICALLY for Trumpeter's 02311 Flak 43 kits.

Going by the images it seems like a pretty makor update with a replacement shield, Ammunition Boxes and details for the mount.

Images can be seen at the side.

Jim, Is the set for ET Models' kit of the Flak 43 or another manufacturer. Asking because I would love to get it. Thanks, Rob

jimbrae SAID
Rob, unfortunately, it didn't say - the details were sparse and what there was, was in Chinese... :(

GALILEO1 SAID
Thanks Jim! I take it this set might be for the Trumpeter kit as Trumpy came out with a 'solo' Flak 43 not too long ago. I'll see if I can dig up info on this to confirm. Rob

Well, I've been comparing the built up Flak 43 kit (not the PE) in E.T. Model's site with Trumpeter sprue shots of its stand along Flak 43 kit and they seem identical. I also looked at E.T. Model's Flak 37 PE offering and seems to also be designed for Trumpeter's Flak 37 stand alone kit. Not 100% sure but all of the plastic pieces seem to match. Wish E.T. could have juts stated the kit its PE sets were designed for. The PE set itself looks superb! Here are the links for comparison (in ...

Hi, this is ETMODEL, I'm so sorry for our incomplete information, and it finally led into a misunderstanding. we are founded in Shanghai,China,2009, by several professional designers.1:72 & 1:35 series AFV update sets are our Characteristic products. so,E35-026 WWII German 3.7cm FLAK 43 Anti-Aircraft Gun just a update sets suit for Trumpeter's 02311 flak43 kits. sorry again for our mistake, I'll add the detail information immediately!

This is a nice compliment to the Griffon Model upgrade for the DML 43 which I am reviewing shortly. There are some structural differences between the two, so it's a good addition for those buying the Trumpeter kit. DML usually gets all the attention for the usual PE suppliers.

GALILEO1 SAID
Bill, did DML by any chance do a 'solo' Flak 43 I wasn't aware of?? Or were you referring to the one that comes with the Sdkfz 7/2? Hope I didn't miss something..... Rob

Thanks for the feedback on this ETMODEL! I assumed this set was for the 02311 Trumpeter kit of the 43. Is this also the case with the set you all offer for the flak 37? Is that set for Trumpeter's 02310 Flak 37 gun? Thanks again, Rob

Doesn't Tristar have a new Flak 43 single barrel coming out? TRR35013?
