Nice work Miniart. There's been some concern on ML that they are all wearing the Shoepac so that puts them at the very end of 44 or later but if they are placed in hatchs that won't matter. These are a big step forward though in terms of US tank crews. The two standing guys on the left could be used as driver and co driver if only the upper torsos are used. I suppose that the old DML crew could be mixed and matched with these if the sizes are similar.

Id imagine thatd work Pat. I have some of the Miniart German crew, and I tried mixing some legs with some torsos.. easy match-up. In fact, I can no longer figure out what legs are from Miniart and from DML now that theyre all in the same spares bin.

A little surgery on the torsos and you've got at least two new Six Day War tankers.

Given the quality of their products and the variety of subjects they're bringing out, for my money MiniArt are setting themselves up to become THE yardstick in terms of plastic figures in 1/35 (indeed some may say they already are). This set is a must-have. - Steve

Try ebay , Lucky Models or any of the online stockists of Miniart. They are on the shelves in Aus (for the last two months) and we are usually the last to see them. Cheers Al

grabbed these as soon as they came on the market. At a third of the price of resin figures they are quite nicely detailed for plastic figures. These are the first plastic figures where I have not swapped out the heads as I found the faces quite well detailed. Here are some rushed images of the figures built and in a early painted stage . There is still the oil paints to use on the faces as the figures are in an initial base coat stage. There is no filler required. Use Tamiya cement medium , bonds the parts together leaving little to no gaps.

I recently purchased MA's SS tank crew Normandy 1944, and was quite disappointed with the amount of flash and poor molding. The hands are a major area needing clean-up, and the medals and belt buckles were scale 1-2 inches thick, so they must be cut off and replaced with PE. I like what MiniArt is doing in terms of sets offered and the poses/expressions, but they definitely need to put a little more effort into the execution IMO.
