Volume 2 of 'Let's Build a Diorama' by László Adóba and László Harsányi is under preparation.
László Harsányi (HALACI), one of the co-authors of the book, very kindly sent us advance details and images of the second volume.

Now, for those who are unaware of the FIRST in the series, a Review of it can be seen:

HERE (LINK)

The second volume will be taking a VERY different approach - at least in the subject area. Whilst the first dealt with buildings and Urban terrain, the second will be dealing with vegetation and a wide variety of terrain types. Amongst the latter will be areas such as Desert, Jungle, Rocky Terrain and Snow.

Now, going by the first volume in this series, some good news for modelers on a budget. Whilst some books of this types have thrown the house through the window with a shopping-list of expensive proprietory AM Diorama materials, the Authors of THIS book have chosen to use more widely-available (and cheaper) materials from a variety of sources.

The book is also going to be bigger with around 80 pages but keeping under the 250G weight limit to maintain shipping costs at a minimum.

So, as a taster of what we can expect to see, here are a selection of photos from the next volume in what is becoming an invaluable source of reference and inspiration.

The Publishers expect the book to launch in November 2010. Keep watching this space!

Meglátjuk. A terjedelem biztosan nagyobb lesz és a forintárfolyamot sem tudja ma senki megjósolni (a papír, a festék, de még a nyomólemez is import).

Hi Chris, it is scheduled for November and now it seems we can keep the deadline. And again, a lot of help had been offered for the English translation and proofreading so I'm sure that this time it will be very good too.

Jeff unfortunately, not yet. I would be the happiest if should we have, because I know that the individual postage cost is high and nobody like to pay almost as much for shipping as the price itself. But we had an inquiry from a well established company not long ago, so I hope the best.

Chris yes, we are planning other books but I wouldn't like to talk about them yet - I don't want to give ideas to others .
