MiniArt Ltd. have just sent us notification of their latest work-in-progress.
I hate doing roofs on buildings. I hate doing individual tiles which start off uniform and then start coming out as triangles, hexagonals and everything that they shouldn't be...

For a long time i've wanted someone to do the work for me - Roof Sections. Now, MiniArt have announced the following:

35518 - Flat Tile Roof

It's been on their catalogue list for a while now. The good news it's now under development. Hopefully we'll see more of these releases!

Our thanks to MiniArt Ltd. for the Update!

Miniart just keep releasing items that diorama/vignette builders won’t be able to resist. This is another, but I hope they follow it up with a Mediterranean version with round tiles as well. Scratching flat tiles isn´t that hard to do. Great idea that they have included the underneath as well, for those that want to model the interior/attic area. In the last few weeks I´ve picked up 1 x street accessories, 1 x metal stairs, 1 x metal telegraph poles and 2 x cobblestone streets with tram lines.

Actually Im a little bit disapointed. Flat tiles are easy to do yourself, no matter if they are wood or ceramic. What I want is ceramic tiles in wavelike form or halfround like the ones they have "in progress". Also more common in Europe. http://www.miniart-models.com/Images/ModelKits/NEWS_35514.jpg Cheers
