Good news arrived today from Hungary in the form of some images and details of the second volume of the excellent Diorama series which was begun last year.
The 8th of December 2010 will see the publication of the long-awaited 2nd part dealing with a vitally important aspect of Diorama-work: Terrain and Vegetation.

The next book will have five sections dealing with the following areas:

Base of the diorama
Surfaces
Vegetation
Using real plants
Effects.

The book will be slightly larger than the first volume (80 pages instead of 64)

Let's Build a Diorama Volume 2 - Terrain & Vegetation is written by László Adóba.

Expect to see a Review, here, on Armorama shortly, meanwhile, as an indicator of what to expect, the Review of Volume 1 can be seen here:

My thanks to László Harsányi for the Update!

Mats, Steven, Vladimir: Thank you for your response, I'm very glad that you enjoy the book. (It's good to know that the first delivered batch has started to arrive, I hope that all the books will arrive in this week even to the overseas destinations. I would like to ask everybody who makes something using ideas ideas from the book to send me a picture of it. We would like to make a gallery from the works. Also some very early sample from the next installment, which will deal with the accessories, like signs, fences, lamps, benches, etc.

I would like to purchase both volumes but your site only seems to be taking PayPal and only seem to allow for purchasing one book at a time. Is there a way for me to get both books at once and pay with a CC? Thanks

Excellent Laszlo, Just ordered mine this morning 0920PST/USA. I'll be using many of your techniques and will gladly send a few pics for you to look over. The next one looks promising too. Sure appreciate your talent, not to mention your professional layout and tutorials. You'd make guys like Shep Paine and Verlinden proud that the heritage is continuing forward! Cheers, Ski.

Martin: There is an option at both books in the PayPal drop down menu, where you can order the two books together. Unfortunately on the site you can not pay directly with credit card, but as far as I know you can use your credit card for paying on PayPal without actually having an account. Steve: Thank you, I've just received you order, tomorrow we can ship the book. It's good that you can not see me now because I'm totally blushed: first, I'm just the editor/publisher and not the author, so I do not deserve the credit, and second, I know László (the author) very well and if you think your words seriously this is the nicest Christmas gift to him.

Well please tell Laszlo Merry Christmas and have a Great New Yr and to you too. I see mine is on the way and I will be using this as a text book manual for many of my dio projects. He's saved us a lot of time and frustration replicating nature and affects, turely a pricesless piece of work! Rock on Laszlo, Ski.

Mine arrived a couple of days ago and a Full Review has now been posted here: http://armorama.com/review/5818 It really is an excellent book. Frankly, if, like me you've done the minimum possible with foliage, buy it and it'll boost your confidence considerably! I'd also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank László (Halaci) for the opportunity to Review it and the 'other' László for putting together such a great work!
