Not making excuses for inaccurate kits, but given that Hobby Boss tends to release variants, perhaps they will release the production version after this prototype version hits the shelves...? Cool looking vehicle --- very futuristic. Would look great in a sci-fi diorama. Regards and Aloha, Johnny B.

So this is basically a German Stryker eh ? I kinda like it.

Basically yes, it is designed to be modeler so it can be configured for different roles. I think it is also going in to service with the Dutch army as well??

Hi there, yes, the Boxer could be considered the German Stryker. Since it has a modular construction, there are for now 4 versions planned for the Bundeswehr. The correct designation is GTK Boxer. GTK reads Gepanzertes Transport Kraftfahrzeug. It`s main role is to be the "mothership" for the Bundeswehr`s Jäger (light Infantry). The versions are: Gruppentransportfahrzeug (Infantry Squad Carrier) Fahrschulpanzer (Driving Student Vehicle) Führungsfahrzeug (Command Vehicle) Geschütztes Sanitätsfahrzeug (MEDEVAC Carrier) The vehicle is highly sophisticated, Is has even a chemical toilet installed. I am not sure if there are versions like Mortar Carrier, MGS, or NBCRV planned but the truck has the potential for it. The first vehicles have been fielded with the Bundeswehr Infantry School, but soon we will see the in AFG. HTH Hans-Hermann (dedicated Boxer fan) P.S. Yes, the Dutch Army will field it, too.
..and i'm sure they were too busy with the REAL work of the company (i,e, business) to pay much attention to your complaints. Quite honestly, what DID you expect? N'Berg is NOT for hobbyists, it's for (ahem) business...
I LOVE MODELMAKING

A 1/35 Fennek would be nice. To me many European vehicles are more aestetically pleasing than their US counterparts: Stryker v Boxer, Humvee v Fennek

I bought one because I like those wheeled modern vehicles and I wanted something different and out of the box. Been working on an AFV club Stryker with just about every PE and Resin set known to man, so this is my break, Anyway, I'll cut to the chase. The good news is Hobbyboss designed the kit like the real thing- modular. The back half of the hull top is seperate so (hopefully) Hobbyboss can easily update it for a production vehicle with a new top and sprues with updated hatches, FLW 200, etc
