A couple of weeks ago, I ran a report on a very curious release from Cyber-Hobby's IJN Type 2 (Ka-Mi) Amphibious Tank. Now, in the spirit of keeping this as current as possible, here's a Photo-Report featuring the ACTUAL model.
The New Release, in 1/35th Scale is:

6699 - IJN Type 2 (Ka-Mi) Amphibious Tank with Floating Pontoon

The images anwer a lot of questions about parts on the previous release, like the pulley drive system. The DS tracks cup around the drive sprocket, but with a wire or other inventive system can still be made to sag between the return rollers. It should be a great kit.

The built model looks fantastic. Hopefully this leads to more Japanese armor from Dragon in the future!

Yep, we now know where that one unaccounted for part from the first release goes. Looking forward to this kit. Also looking forward to Friul making some tracks for it. Come on Friul, be the hero. Roy

More Japanese armor from WWll that hasn't been covered by Fine Molds is what I would like to see.

Even if it has been covered by Fine Molds, I would like to see Dragon release more Japanese armor. The level of detailing on the first Ka Mi was much finer and cleaner than anything on the Fine Molds kits. I'd love to see an interior such as they offer on the Panzer II and 38T as well. I wish they would pay this kind of attention to an Allied release.

Ok now I'm hooked lol. The kit looks very nice in the photos, and I'm not sure I want to miss out on this one if it doesn't get put into standard production.

Ditto, that'd be a little slice of heaven
