The Korean manufacturer, Legend Productions, has just announced their latest update / conversion sets in 1/35th scale....
It's been a few months since we had any concrete news from Academy, now it seems as if they're back in 1/35th scale with some interesting announcements....

Once again the increasingly prolific Polish company, Armorscale has a series of useful and imaginative releases in 1/35th scale. Agaim as we have come to expect, the emphasis is on new barrel/mantlet sets although two other update sets are also being offered...

Korean miniature manufacturers Seil Model have recently announced their latest releases for January 2006. Included are two new additions to Seil's accessories range, but most significantly are two new Celtic figures, sculpted by none other than Armorama.com member Babis Stathis (aka Aiantas).
We now have all four volumes of Mike Starmer's superb booklets on British armor and vehicle camouflage.
The last few months have seen a rapid release program from DML in all areas. One of the most noteworthy, has ubdoubtedly been th introduction of a different 'dimension' of 1/35th scale figures - Generation II. The difference between these and any other figures on the market is abysmal - the new figure sets are undoubtedly the best ever produced in 1/35th. Now, Dragon Models has, via its subsidiary DragonUSA announced the latest set....
Following on from the news of the 1/35th scale Chinook from Trumpeter, once again, the attention turns to this scale with a British Horsa Glider in 1/35th scale.....

I came across Leonhard Miniatures a few days ago, and was impressed by their dedication to historical detail. In fact, Leonhard Miniatures are so dedicated to historical accuracy, that their figures are carefully designed by a team member who is a professional museologist with experience in researching and reconstructing historic subjects. Furthermore, the masters are sculpted by talented and renowned artists like Alan Ball!
Spanish manufacturer El Viejo Dragón Miniatures recently released another two interesting figures to add to their very diverse range of military miniatures. This time, two Roman Empire subjects - a Roman and a Celtic barbarian...
This month sees a smaller than usual list of new releases from Andrea Miniatures. Once again the 'Historical' figures are taking a slight back-seat to some releases which many might find unusual...
During my cyber-travels I came across a new Korean miniatures company, Infinity Shape. Infinity Shape's historical and military miniatures range currently comprises of 1/48 (37mm) and 54mm white metal figures. They are launching their 1/35 range in January 2006 (the figures can be seen below), and from their website it appears they will be launching a range of 90mm figures within the foreseeable future as well.
It has been almost 6 months since Russian manufacturer Tank announced any new releases. This month they spoil Allied, Axis and Modern modellers alike with no less than seven new figure sets.
News just in from Mr. Alex Surzhenko, Director of Master Box Limited, of two new 1/35 scale kit releases to hit the kit market, one very soon, one in about a month's time (if all goes well with the process, he says.)
As the modelling year comes to an end, and as I rarely get a chance to 'editorialize' (at least to any great extent), this seems like quite a good opportunity to be even more opinionated than I usually am (ahem...)

In this, I'm going to be taking a (highly) personal view of what (to me at least) have been the highs (and lows) of this year's new releases....
NIMIX Miniatures introduces to you its New BMR 600 PP ( Spanish armoured vehicle). Its a new kit, improved and with the hightest quality.

Spanish figure manufacturer Elite Miniatures has recently announced their two latest releases, and in typical Elite fashion, they manage to blindingly dazzle with these two fantastic figures!
The most common drawback with some of the (otherwise) excellent plastic figure sets on the market, is there is a tendency towards 'sameness' . Therefore, it is desireable, to find some alternative. Legend Productions seem to be going through an interesting phase of developing stowage for a range of different vehicles. A few weeks ago it was stowage for the Humvee and M4a2, now the AAVP7A1 and the Bradley receive the attention....
