Wall Ruins

introduction

Great North Roads began as a small accessory maker for dioramas around 12 years ago. Now owned by Simon Farrugia, they produce a massive range of buildings, roadway surfaces and pavement sections, and are now beginning to produce their own range of 1/35th scale figures. They produce a series of different wall types at affordable prices.

contents

The product is delivered in a padded envelope; within which is a Ziploc bag. The kit comprises two wall sections each terminating in a post, and one separate post to match.

the parts

The mouldings arrived undamaged and are of good quality. The plaster is not too chalky or crumbly and will stand up to some wear and tear. The wall sections have small indentations that allow them to be fitted to the stand alone post and obviously, with the purchase of two or more sets then a number of different permutations are possible. It is also possible, as can be seen from the accompanying photographs, to install scratch built railing etc., so the possible combinations and different settings for these small sets are numerous!

in conclusion

For the serious modeller who likes to build dioramas, these sets are a must. They are the kind of set that should be in everybody’s stock cupboard for that occasion when something is needed to add a little ‘extra’ to an almost finished scene. Different types of wall are also available. Thanks to Simon Farrugia at Great North Roads.
