Sometimes it is the little details that can really make a diorama come to live, and Add On Parts continues to deliver those diorama accessories that can fill the little space. Their latest release is a set of garbage bins in 1/35 scale for dioramas
Inside the package you will find four distinct garbage bins, one includes a lid.
Add On Parts continues to deliver some great diorama accessories that are made for filling those little voids in a diorama. Garbage Bins, Type 2 is their latest release. The four different shaped garbage bins come cast in a grey resin. The external and internal detail(the trash) is well done, but I do find the outer detail much better looking. The external details includes full handles or rope detail handle.
The bins come in four shape, three being round and one being square. One bin includes a separate lid that could either be put on the can or leaned up against the side. All the bins have pour plugs on the bottom that will need to be cut off, but this should not be an issue with a good razor saw.
I did find the rim on two of the bins to be very thin, and part of the rim was broken off, but the part still in the package. This should be an easy fix with a little CA glue, and any gaps left could represent rust.
I donít recognize the garbage bins from any specific era, and feel that the bins could be used on a diorama from World War 2 to modern.
These new garbage bins from Add On Parts look to be another great item to fill that small empty void in a diorama. With good looking detail, and a little paint, they will provide good scenic support to your diorama. While I did find the thin rims broken in my example, this would be an easy fix. I highly recommend these garbage bins for diorama builders.
Highs: Great accessory to dress up a diorama, great casting and detailsLows: Thin rims fragileVerdict: Another great diorama accessory.
