Soviet Soldier of WWII, item ARM35133, by Armor35 is a 1/35 resin PPSh gunner dressed in a padded winter jacket Telogreika and wearing a Ushanka fur hat.

Armor35 packages this figure in an attractive small top or bottom opening box. The parts are enclosed in a ziplocked baggie.

Soviet Soldier of WWII 35133 is cast in gray resin. Sculpted by Anishchenko Dmitriy, he is cast in eight parts:

Body trunk
Arm (right) with PPSh-41 with hands
Arm (L)
Ammunition drum pouch
M38 canteen
Entrenching tool
“Turkish-type” Veshmeshok backpack
RGD-33 grenade pouch

Casting is excellent with no bubbles or other flaws, and just the faintest bit of flash under the PPSh-41. The body and four belt-carried kit items are attached to a pour block. The arms and veshmeshok are loose.

Although the figure wears the padded jacket, a standard breeches with reinforced knees and boots complete his kit. A leather belt with the brass buckle supports the spare magazine and other infantry items. A strap for the backpack is molded across the body.

Sculpting of a proud face is exceptional. A shock of hair pokes out from under the hat.

Seams are sculpted along the clothes, including the quilted look of the telogreika. Since it has no collar there are no branch or rank patches. A red star is molded on the cap.

What I thought was the trigger finger of the right hand turns out to be a cigarette.

Assembly

Straightforward. Armor35 apparently sculpts their figures by creating arms and equipment, then pressing those into the main body. This helps the modeler with placement of parts.

However, although I fit the submachine gun-arm piece into the indentions of the figure and the arm-shoulder joint looked correct, photos show that the edges are slightly misaligned. Re-positioning or a bit of filler/carving should correct that. The other arm fit smartly to the shoulder and the wrist to the hand molded on the weapon.

Each piece of equipment fit precisely into its respective space.

"Winter Soviet PPSh Gunner", Soviet Soldier of WWII ARM35133, is an excellent figure for a colder period of The Great Patriotic War. Casting is first-rate and detail is impressive. I like the pose. I do not know if a PPSh-41 gunner was issued a fighting knife but if not, then this figure has a full kit.

I don't have anything that bothers me about this model.

Dioramaists and figure modelers of The Great Patriotic War should appreciate this model and I happily recommend it.
