by: Engin Kayral [ GRAYWOLF ]

introduction

Shooting with cameras rather than guns, war reporters act as the eyes of the military. Whether taking motion pictures or still photographs, they have produced images to document historic moments capturing some of the most iconic images of World War II and also for the purposes of strategy, intelligence and mapmaking.

Lately BRAVO-6 released a series of War Correspondants from World War II. First of the series, B6-35100 Kriegsberichter (1) depicts a German war reporter in standard Army uniform kneeling with his camera.

packing &casting

Kit content comes well packed in standard light brown cardboard box labeled with a photo of painted figure. Body part and other small parts like arms, helmet, holster and camera are split into two transparent bags. Resin quality is good with no casting mistakes. Details are clean and sharp. No need for a serious cleanwork, just a few seamlines on the arms.

Very impressive figure--I hope this means that we'll start seeing more war correspondent figures (allied as well as Axis) in the future. Especially desire one or two in the Black Panzer uniform, so I don't have to scavenge a really great figure to do personnel from PanzerPropagandakompanie (PzPK) 697--the Heer had two such organizations (corps-or Army- level, I forget), and their personnel wore the black uniform with the Kriegsberichter cuff title. Thanks much for the review.

Sort of reminds me of the figure that Dragon included in its initial release a decade ago for the Tiger I initial. That and the film camera man. Useful and interesting at the edge of a dio.
