Introduction
Alpine Meadow is a static grass and cork scatter scenery product from Ziterdes, released in cooperation with scenery masters NOCH. It is tilted "Rocky Highland" on the Ziterdes website. Scaled for 25-28mm, this ground cover is versatile and can be used for sci-fi, wargaming and fantasy gaming, as well as historical and military modeling. Alpine Meadow is item 12133.

Ziterdes
tells us:
The rocky highland grass of ZITERDES is a mixture of so-called static grass and small pieces of cork that mark smaller and larger stones. Static means that the viscose fibers electrostatically charged at friction and vertical shoots in the grass adhesive. As a result one obtains a grass in the model which actually stands and not unnaturally flat in the adhesive and looks as if someone had just mowed. Before charging the fiber we recommend our puffer bottle . As the adhesive you should exclusively use the gras glue of ZITERDES. Only this adhesive remains open long enough to accommodate the grass fiber and held vertically in the glue is dry to the whole.

Welcome to Ziterdes!

Alpine Meadow
Contained in an 18-gram resealable plastic container.

The ground cover consists of fine static grass and random sized and shaped cork stones. The grass fibers have slightly different colors. The stones are uniform in color.

Scale
Ziterdes mainly models for the gaming community and sizes their products for 25-28mm. But weather and fauna can vary the size. You can judge the size with:
    1. Figures in 1/35, 1/48, and HO (1/87)

    2. Civil vehicles in "EurO" (Euro O scale) and HO scales (1/43 and 1/87)

    3. Malevolent machines in 1/48 and 1/87, and a tractor in 1/48 O scale.

In my eyes, Alpine Meadow looks good for each scale to me for my purposes. (Although that VW van may bust an axle or tire driving around that meadow.)

Coverage
I used about 1/4 of the container for the area pictured in this review. It is about 6" x 6"; I estimate that this container will cover an area of a square foot, or 30cm x 30cm.

Conclusion
Alpine Meadow is a good looking static grass scatter product that looks good for many scales on either side of 25-28mm. It should offer a good area of coverage. I think it has authentic grass color and I did not find dust after dumping it out.

I have no objective complaint about this product and recommend it for modelers who need to represent an alpine meadow.

Please remember to mention to NOCH and retailers that you saw this product here - on Armorama.
