This kit comes with six (6) crisply cast resin pieces which require minimal clean up.
The pieces are as follows:
- figure body with head cast in place
- right arm
- left arm
- left hand holding bottle
- wooden plank sidewalk section
- upright beam (presumably an upright support for a building overhang?)
The kit is cast inoff white resin with no apparent bubbles. The casting lugs are in reasonable places as to cause the least amount of clean up necessary.
The detail is sharp and crisp.
The bearded face is done very well and has good character and the pose (hanging on to a post while slugging down a bottle) is relaxed and natural looking.
Anders Heinz has sculpted a very nice addition to anyone's 54mm collection. My only negative comment about this piece would be directed toward the box art. It shows the figure in a light purplish shirt and pale green trousers. A highly unlikely combination for a town drunk in the 19th century west. My intention is to paint this piece with worn denim colored trousers, with perhaps a faded red long john shirt.
Another in a series of western figures in VLS' Streets of Laredo line.
