My review sets just arrived on January 18, 2011. They included:
1@ Spandau set 08/15 AM32-023.
1@ Parabellum LMG 14 AM32 024.
1@ Parabellum LMG 14/17 AM32-025.
Now WWI is a subject area that Master Models has only recently began addressing. They have a great catalog of subject matter that is heavy with WWII items. Mostly they seem to do fretted gunbarrels that are milled brass tubing, Mike Taylor of MisterKit USA is quoted as saying:
". . .These differ from tradtional 2-D Photo Etched Gun Jackets which generaly have to be bent into a cylinder shape. These are "Milled" Brass tubes which are cut and hollowed. This set includes the Barrel and Cooling jacket in addtion to Milled Flash Suppressors which PE sets would either cast out of resin or expect you to cut off and re-use the kit part. . ."
I thought I had seen it all. That is until I picked up the fretted gunjacket of a Master Model 1:32 Parabellum 14 Wow! I spent a couple of hours working with the three sets and was amazed at how quickly they went together. Each set comes with enough parts for one gun (Parabellum ) or in the case of the Spandau Maxims enough for 2 guns.
They include finely detailed
End caps for the jacket(s).
Flash suppressors where applicable.
Gun sights both fore and aft.
Back strap for the Parabellum 14/17
Attachments for the Spandau gun(s) to the airframe.
A one sided instruction sheet of exploded views that are very clear and concise.
