18pdr Mk 4 on Mk 3 Carriage

The 18pdr Mk 4 artillery gun can trace its lineage to the 18pdr of World War 1 and mounted on the Mk 3 or Mk 4 Carriage saw service in the early part of World War 2, a large number of these guns were lost with the BEF at the start of World War Two. The 18pdr Mk4 on Mk3 Carriage lead to the famous QF 25pdr which served with the British armed forces for many years.
