Hi Kids...
I'm trying to order online from Lucky Model with no luck (no pun intended....). Has anyone else experienced any problems lately? I'm trying to use the 'verified by visa' option and the payment windows either hangs indefinitely or times out. I've emailed them but no response yet.

thanks
Bob

I have had a problem like this with LuckyModel in the past, perhaps six months ago. It was working again with 24 hours.

It could also be a browser issue. Perhaps try allowing pop-ups for the duration of your transaction, or use a different browser.

Bob,

I have never had a problem ordering from Lucky Model that way....probably some funky computer server issue.

Thanks Raymond, I've sent you an email.

I appreciate the prompt service. I'm on vacation next week so I can respond during the day.

cheers;

Yeah, I had the same problem a couple of nights ago... Was worried that I purchased the same product around 15 times! LOL
It is a V by V prob, not a Luckymodel one...

I've ordered from Lucky Models many times without any problems. However, I did have this problem once about 6-9 months ago. I just waited a bit and tried again and it worked. Weird...

I've ordered from them a half dozen times now and never had a problem. It does sound more like a visa processing issue to me. The only thing I wish is that lucky model would take paypal but other than that the prices are great and so is the service.

Yes, I'm with you on the PayPal thing too...would be good. I've ordered from Luck Model before and their prices, shipping and customer service are first rate. This is the only problem I've ever had. You're all right, it's probably a Visa or server issue, not a Lucky Model problem. I've been very happy with them and I'm sure Raymond will fix me up.

Hi everybody!

The same problem, I've been trying to pay through V by V many times since two months ago and the system denied all attempts. Their customer service never answered me any of my e-mails. Simply I surrender !!.

Well somebody have met the same problem as i am. I´ve tried to pay my order through verified by visa system without succes. I´ve tried to it now several days, many times at a day.
I send an e-mail to luckymodel and got repply, where they said it probalbly be busy lines and i should try again. That sounds unlikely.

That´s sad because i really would of use their service..

Hi, same here, verified by visa failed on several attempts over the last 4 months. You can send them a fax or email your cc info over a series of emails.

Bill (and others)

Endorsements for LuckyModel and their product are not the issue here, they are very good that's for sure.

If you take a look at the original posts/thread, this was all in mid July last year. It's all been sorted out now I thought but my original post almost 8 months ago now did highlight some problems that LuckyModel seems to have from time to time with their Visa ordering system. Ringing endorsements abound for LuckModel and I concure with them, but there are difficulties from time to time with the international banking/visa portion of their ordering system which seems to be an ongoing server issue that crops up from time to time and not a LuckyModel problem. Raymond will sort you out if you email them separately and let you know of the problems you're having, that's what he did with me and it all was resolved in a few days.

Be patient, they will get back to you and straighten everything out, I'm sure.

cheers;

Bob

They are still suffering from issues. I just had to cancel an order I placed in August because they finally admitted the items were not going to restock in the foreseeable future. They still haven't issued my refund and it's over a week later. Why they can't get these items I do not know, but no one else seems to be having this problem so I have reordered them from other sources - unfortunately not quite at the sale price I found them for at LM, but I know I am getting them finally.

Depending on the response I get back from them and/or Raymond, I probably will not order from them again.

Sorry to hear you had problems. I only order items that are 'in stock' and haven't had any issues at all.

I think that's really the key with them. Back-ordered is a crap-shoot and I've had to cancel orders several times for a refund when weeks and months have gone by and nothing. On the plus side, they have always responded very promptly when I've had to cancel and gotten store credit.

Yeah, I agree. I wish that their restock estimate time would be a bit more accurate or take off the listing of items that they cannot get timely. Currently, my order has been sitting as "pending" for 3 weeks on some Trumpeter models that are supposedly possible to restock in one week. This happens way too often. I've also asked about back-orders and requests for stocking new AM items from a supplier in Poland, the customer service person said that they have no idea on the supplier information. Huh?
I've pmed Raymond but no response yet.
Yeah, lesson learned - only order "in-stock" items from LM.

Back order is back order, the time frame mentioned is a possible not guaranteed. It depends on items being in stock it supplier/manufacturer, in or out production etc. Last week I finally received an item from Hobby Link Japan (I know not LM but similar issues apply) I'd had on order 13 months when the typical restock time was 4-6 weeks, why? Because that's how long Bandai took re-pop it.

They were actually showing as in stock when I put them in my cart, but apparently sold out while I was checking on some other items before checking out. But to me that is not as serious as charging my card without verifying the goods were still available. If I had known it would take so long, I would have asked for a refund much sooner and had that money to spend with dealers who did have the kits on-hand, instead of it being locked up in limbo doing nothing.

Hi there,
The problem is not with Lucky Models, it is with VISA. As a result of online fraud originating in China, you have to contact your bank that issued the card, notify them about the transaction with details in advance. They will then open a portal or window to allow the transaction to go through and then the window closes so no additional activities can take place. I am one of Lucky Models best customers and I do this each and every time I make an order.
