Absolutely beautiful brickwork and construction. I can tell that took time and patience!

Thank you friends,

I reworked the right house corner of the gate section. I think it's more interesting to look at now, by adding more woodwork. For this job, I had to add bricks and tiles too, so now it looks heavier. It's more Normandy style architecture as it looks now I believe.

Absolutely beautiful!
Talking about realism, that's the word for YOUR work! Now you've got to realize the whole village...

Hi Guy, welcome in the club of crazy structure builders

I must say , this is absolutely top work. I notice the careful planning to accomodate all the different heights and materials to get this look.

Well done!

Martyn, thank you for the encouraging words.

Alexandre, thank you, but no thanks...a whole village, pfff, I prefer building a 1/1 house .

Chas, thank you.

Claude, thank you for the kind words, I think that good preparation is very important to achieve a nice result.

Felix, I keep on doing the best I can my friend.

Next update, a medieval wooden door.

Quite simple in fact, starting from a good reference picture.

1) The door was made of plastic sheet. With a file I made a wood structure in the plastic surface, simple and effective enough :

2) I cut planks and glued them on a piece of plastic card.

3) Nuts and bolts from the spare box can come in handy to complete a medieval door :

4) a towing cable part from the spare box makes a good door knocker (I hope this word exists ?) :

5) Primer and a couple of base paint layers make it ready for weathering in a later stage :

Cu later folks !

Thank you Ed.

Yesterday I painted on a couple of new brownish layers to try to create an old wood effect.
Not completely satisfied yet, but here's a pic already :

Alexandre : thank you, please look further in this reply, you will see 'm not planning to stop building soon.

Martyn : thank you.

Gerard : here I am...again

Chris : I try to update regularly, here's another one. Tx man.

Scott : I try to make people pick up the cork and see for themselves how much fun it is to work with. Thanks mate, I'm glad you appreciate my work.

Imagine a house instead of the cutting board.

Same here.

A window and the brickwork done (I can still remove it easily to finish the window) . Bricks need filling now.

The lowest window will be completed with colored pieces of glass.
