Might be a difference of continent kind off thing....

More than likely Ron. Where as we correctly say the day of the month, month of the year, year its in for reasons I believe to do with computer software our friends across the pond do it differently putting the month first. You have to excuse them, after all the poor souls can't even spell Armour correctly.

Alan

Ron

Sorry 20 years of the army has brainwashed me, I still put the month then date and then year. but your time line sounds really good.

Alan,

Sorry.......I can't speak for us all over here but Armor and Armour it all sounds the same.....just some use Old English and others use New English (which is bastardized), LOL.......just taken a piss Mate.............

The other company Alan mentioned is TM Diorama. I've only ever seen their products in Jadar's online shop

http://www.jadarhobby.pl/tmdiorama-135-c-19_588.html

I have a few half put together and they are noticeably smaller than Miniart.

However I think we'll keep this campaign to Miniart with the proviso that as long as the main focus of the build is a Miniart building then I would have no problem with people crosskitting with other products or using cork, plaster, wood etc as well as dio accessories such as Lamp posts etc from any manufacturer.

Hey Guys,

Come on fellow models, lets see if we can get alot of takers on this Campaign. We have some time before it actually starts (tentative Jan 2010).

I just love these kits and they can be used in almost all diorama's and have already seen several being used in different dio's already.

So come on guys.......... lets see how any takers we can get.

Well I see it as being for dios centred around new kits so that we get to see all the work and techniques used to complete the build but you can include old kits in the dio as long as you also use a new kit too.

Hey Pat

How many takers do we have so far on this possible Campaign. I hope we can get enough entries to get it kick off.

1st project planned

I plan to use the FRENCH STREET Diorama with the FRENCH CAFE and combine them to depict a scene right after the Ville Bocage Battle.

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z201/zazaphil/Tiger1_212_Villers-Bocage_01r1.jpg

2ed project planned (possible)

Will be a RUINED GARAGE with interior and a Scratched build base.

But we will have to see how it all pans out.

Hi Mike, well by my count we have 17. I've submitted it for approval so we'll see.
The garage is one of the kits I have my eye on. I'm also planning something with the Ruined Church

But the campaign is set to start in January if approved so we'll see if I can hold out that long:)

Well, I enlisted and I will enter with Polish building 35004

It will be used in a diorama as a tribute to the Polish fighters during the Warsaw Uprising

Well, it looks like it's going to happen so on Saturday I'm off to the LHS and see what they have and make my decision based on what's in stock. Any recomendations on what a first time builder should try? Anyway, this will be a fun one !

Pat, I have one question concerning the rules: is it possible to use a previously built model of vehicle as long as the diorama with building is made withing time borders of campaign?

Well the focus of the campaign will be the buildings but the timespan of the campaign 9 months is long enough to build any vehicle to go in the dio. That said, modelers will have some leeway as to the elements they use to make up their dio.

The miniart campaign is an excellent idea .

I'm a starter for this one .

The vac form stuff is a good challenge to build .
I'll take the plunge and sign up .

Cheers

A late comer here guys! January is smashing for me as college is easing up a little bit but I still have exams so I should be able to slot a campaign in I am going with Park Gate and Fence # 35007 and do something based on the Tet offensive in Hue. Or French Farmyard Building # 35507 and maybe a Sherman with some U.S Rangers doing something recreational or possibly a staghound parked collecting gifts off some French Civilians.

Hi all,

I just signed in for this campaign, seems like a good reason to finally start building a mini-art kit that I have. I've been avoiding it for quite some time, but now it's time to confront my aversion of vacuformed kits... My challenge will be building the "Ruined Building" (#35519).

I am participating in two other campaigns (on Kitmaker Benelux), so I might be making a late start in this one...

Greetings,

Max

*edit 28-12-09: When I checked the kit today, it turned out it was actually the EAST PRUSSIAN CITY BUILDING (#35501)! So that's the one that I will be building...

I'll give this one a try.
Maybe get me out of the building SLUMP I've been in.

I also sign up for the figure painting campaign, I figure if I'm doing a Dio, I'll need some new figures to go with it.

Now I just need to decide what MiniArt building to build that I have in the stash, or should I pick up one of their smaller street corner kits for this one.

I just picked up the "East Prussian City Building" for my project. What a bunch of plastic ! I try to shop only the LHS' s, finding the kit locally was a toughie. In an area with close to a million people I could only find 2 kits. But I'm itching to go !

Okay, counting down to the kick off. I have the garage and I'm dropping in to my LHS to see if he got me the Ruined Church. Looking forward to seeing lots of photos of peoples work.
Don't forget to get some sheets of sand paper or wet and dry paper to smooth off the edges.
